Our Shared Vision

“Learning First” is the vision and mission statement for Davis School District. We value academics as well as language acquisition and proficiency. Our immersion students receive the same first-class education as all our students, with the addition of language acquisition and a cultural awareness that will serve them for a lifetime.

The elementary Dual Language Immersion program in Davis School District first started in the fall of 2006 at Sand Springs and Eagle Bay Elementary schools. Spanish was introduced to 100 students in kindergarten and first grade at each of these schools. Since that time, 9 additional elementary schools have added programs, bringing the total of elementary Dual Language Immersion schools in Davis District to 11, with an enrollment in excess of 3,000 students. There are currently 4 Chinese, 4 Spanish and 3 French programs.
